The Templo floor light was created as part of a site-specific installation for Mármoles Covarrubias’s family home during Transforming the Stone, a one-week workshop organized by Samael Covarrubias in Guadalajara, México.
Designed to harmonize with this environment while providing illumination at night, the installation included four wall lights crafted from locally sourced stone and honey onyx marble. At the center of the patio, the stone-encased lightbox served as both a side table and a focal point for gatherings.
