Alufold is a suspended lighting system designed for office environments. Originally developed for Shigeru Ban’s Paper Pavilion at Boisbuchet, the system integrates with the existing structure, drawing from its modular design and paper-based materiality.
The reflectors are crafted from stapled aluminum-covered paper, forming an extruded-like structure supported by aluminum components. A concealed LED light source reflects on the concave balusters, ensuring uniform light distribution. Its modular nature allows for endless linear configurations.
